Foolish Things

Foolish ThingsWhen I first put the album in I was very skeptical because I had never heard of Foolish Things before. Being the half witted Audio Engineer that I am, I didn’t like the mixing at first and that overshadowed my conception.
I had a talk on the phone with Nate and decided to watch their promo DVD.
I soon saw how much this band is about God and their hearts shined through every note on this album.

The more I listened to the album; the better that it became! It still hasn’t become old sounding to listen too.

Sounds like: FT has a very unique sound but they are in the genre(s) of Death Cab for Cutie, U2 and Sanctus Real.

Highlights: ‘Be Still’ is such a catchy song that I couldn’t help but sing along with. Combine that with the pure meaning of the song and it turns out to be one of my favorites.
’Find your way back’ is such a touching song; it tells the story of How Jesus sacrificed himself on the cross. It’s a very powerful song.

Final Thoughts: The musical style took me off guard at first but once I warmed up to it I noticed how professional these guys are on their instruments and the amazing song writing and lyrics compliment it very nicely.

I recommend you buy a copy (two thumbs up), you won’t be disappointed.
