 We all love side projects correct? Well this is one that you can’t go without.
This album has 5 bands and 3 songs from each.
It starts off with ‘My Red Hot Nightmare (Ethan from The Supertones/Demon Hunter with Dan from The Supertones and Josh from Ace Troubleshooter). They are a great party band, reminds me off a mix of Ramones and MXPX.
Next in line is Matthew Thiessen and the Earthquakes (which is Relient K’s lead singer Matt Thiessen). I caught some of his older demos with the earthquakes on pure volume a few months ago and they have gotten even better! It includes a cover of a beach boys favorite.
We now have Tyler Burkum’s solo project (From Audio Adrenaline). He impressed me with his song writing and folk/ambient sound. Ty’s songs are pretty much about his wife and I especially liked “Better Part of Me”.
Agnes surprised me… I didn’t know who it was at first but had a sort of familiar sound to it (Dave the drummer from Relient K). Agnes has some good melodies, great lyrics and a great punk rhythm.
Royal Empire Music closes the album off perfectly (Davy and Jared from Bleach). I was very sad to see bleach break up after the loss of their brother Capt. Josh Byers overseas. He would be very proud of them because their lyrics are the best on the entire album. Royal Empire Music makes me wonder if they just wanted the initials R.E.M. haha.

Final Thoughts: A great mix of bands and I wouldn’t trade this album for my money back.
